Cooking Today

We were up early this morning, and found our way to the yard quick. After a little bit of computer time we were in the kitchen for a snack and then candy making. The Oreo balls were rolled and dipped chocolate, the orange cake was baked and after further steps dipped in chocolate as well.

A few cups of coffee later, Rachel decided we should start dinner. She put the salt and peppered chicken in the oven for 45 minutes at 350. I put the water on to boil while some more chocolate was melting. After the egg noodles were boiled I followed the recipe here. Doubled it, added more salt and pepper, added parsley. For the cheese, half a block of cheddar broke into small chunks and dropped in. They weren't melting very well with the low heat I was using. Poured the pasta and cream sauce over the chicken and all of it's juices in the baking dish. Sprinkled it with paprika, and put it in the oven for 20 minutes.

Well, we wound up leaving it in for longer than 20, and ate it with freshly prepared collard greens. Yummy.


Work 7 am to 6 pm tomorrow. Wonder how that'll be. I'm inspired to do more, where's my motivation?
